What kind of information do we collect?
The type of information we receive and store, and the amount of information, depends on how you use our websites. You can access most pages on our websites without informing us of your identity, and without disclosing any personal information.

When you register your submissions to sign petitions on the Internet or express your interest in joining us as a member.

Data processing.
TEVIN ensures that systems in which personal data is stored have appropriate regulatory and technical security. This ensures that personal data is accessible only by authorized employees whose functions are mandated and that we use personal data only for the purposes for which it was obtained and for compatible purposes.
E-Mail.
If you provide TEVIN with your email address as a newsletter subscriber, donor, recipient of information, or participant in our campaigns or meetings, you will receive emails telling you about our work and asking you to support our campaigns.
When TEVIN sends e-mail messages, we use a system that provides information about how to open e-mail. This system also provides tracking of whether readers click on links in our emails.
TEVIN does this to closely align the information provided to you with your interests.

Approval.
We ask for your consent to send you messages, for example e-mails, to keep you up to date with the latest developments in our activities, campaigns and meetings, and to request donations from you. We will not process your information in this way unless you consent.
If you apply for a job with us and provide us with sensitive personal information (including your race and ethnicity, as well as your gender), we will only process that information with your consent. We sometimes share your personal information with other parts of TEVIN in order to further enhance our organization's role as effectively as we can and to facilitate our message to people who may have an interest in human rights.
Third-party websites.
What is posted on our website sometimes includes links to third-party sites or apps. This policy therefore does not apply to pages or applications hosted or operated by other organization.
For activists under the age of 18?
If you are 18 years of age or younger and would like to join TEVIN, please make sure to obtain permission from your parent/guardian before providing us with your personal information.
Data retention period.
We only retain your personal information on our systems as long as they are necessary for the purposes described above and we remove your personal data from our systems when they are no longer needed in line with our guidance on how long important information should remain available for future use or reference. This is when and how data can be destroyed when it is not needed.
The length of time during which each data category is retained varies depending on how long we need to use it and why we have collected it, and according to any binding legal requirements.
After this period, the data will be deleted or may be kept in a secure database, with anonymity, for use for research and analytical purposes.
